PART A - Application Test

1. Download our LANKAR Shop Management Software program HERE
2. Download our LANKAR Getting Started Tutorial HERE

Install LANKAR and go through the tutorial. Try to learn as much of the functionality as you can about the software. When interviewed, you will be quizzed on all areas of our shop management system. The more you know, the better the interview will go for you.

PART B - Software Development Test

1. Create a Visual Basic 6 Application, according to the specifications listed
Project: Company Information Database
The entire program must be created using Visual Basic 6. The Database must be an Access Database, and the records must be accessed using SQL.

1. The Database Path denotes the name and path of the Database used in your application.

2. Search Fields allow you to type in a search criteria for their respected columns, and list only those records that meet that criteria
....when the Search button is clicked. Note: allow for wildcard characters such as the Asterisk(*) and the Question Mark(?).

3. The control that displays the information can be whatever control you wish, although it must display the three columns as shown. Lines are not mandatory but Header names are.

4. The Add button should open a User Interface that will allow you to add another Company with Contact and Country information. Once added, the list should refresh along with the new Company added.

5. The Edit button should allow you to change the information of the highlighted (selected) Company. Once changed, the list should be
....refreshed with the new information listed.

6. The Delete button should allow you to delete a Company from the list. Before deleting however it should ask you if you are sure, and provide a way to cancel the delete. Once a Company is deleted, the list should refresh with the deleted company off the list. The Delete button will consider which ever line is highlighted (selected) as the one the user wants to delete.

7. The Exit button should close the application completely.

8. Be sure to include Error Handling

To really impress your interviewer, try to incorporate LANKAR Application style and colours. When interviewed, you will be asked to write a smaller, similar version of this application.

Remember that all data is to be stored in an Access Database, and manipulated using SQL from within Visual Basic.
PART C - Industry Quiz
